Accessible from spring 2023, the educational path is a new nature activity proposed on our base Loisirs
Loire Valley. Discover the fauna and flora!
With the end of the quad activity in 2022, we wanted to develop a new activity which marks our commitment to the environment.
Patricia Allouin-Raton, director of Loisirs Loire Valley, gives some explanations: “We are convinced by the life in the open air and the will more and more present of the human beings, to reconnect with the earth and the living beings“. This desire has been noted in the field with families and children who are very interested in information about animals and plants.
Teachers and educational teams also expect a greater presence in the field to approach learning in a playful manner.
The path has been thought and designed in this sense, with instructions and a marked out route. On explanatory panels, there are challenges, legends and games. For the general public, it is coupled with the treasure hunt to spice up the journey.

The approach is sometimes scientific, literary or artistic. For example, we will learn how to measure the height of a tree or to recognize plant species by means of a grimoire.
For the artistic side, creative animations are proposed, such as learning how to weave a spider’s web with thread, or how to make crowns with hazelnut branches.
Specific material is provided for schoolchildren, in more or less advanced versions, depending on the educational cycle, in order to adapt to the programs of the class outside the walls.
Recreational and instructive, the educational path is a good complement to the barefoot trail.
After the exploration by the senses, let’s go to the practice!
